The App can easily make a 'bokeh' (blured background) effect out of iPhone camera. It was a genus algorithm by the developer to make the iPhone process the captured video into a 'bokeh' style photography.
It also can make magic by completely removing any moving background aka walking people behind your focused object. I'll included the example below.
One more magic that it can do is to sharpen and remove noise of a low light condition photo. What it do is, it will record sum amount time of video (5-10 seconds) and after that, the algorithm will do the rest. You can see the out come from the sample down below.

When he's not writing iPhone apps, he is a professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, where he teaches computer graphics, digital photography, and the science of art.
